Life

After taking singing and acting lessons with Bruno Decarli and Gertrud Eysoldt , she began her first engagement in Zittau in 1912 . Later she played in Munich and then came to Berlin, where she also appeared as a stage actress as a diseuse in cabarets.

In 1931 she got her first film roles in the two classics M and Girls in Uniform . After that, she was a frequently used supporting or small actress in German film for three decades. She also often worked as a radio play speaker. Here she was mostly one of the main actors, for example in 1962 under the direction of Rudolf Noelte , alongside Will Quadflieg , Hanns Ernst Jäger , René Deltgen and Malte Jaeger in Das Verhör des Lukullus by Bertolt Brecht or in 1958 under the direction of Wolfgang Spier Fire in two old ladies , with Agnes Windeck , Arthur Schröder , Herbert Weißbach and Harry Wüstenhagen .

She was buried in the Dahlem cemetery.
