Else Wohlgemuth , married Countess von Thun and Hohenstein (born January 1, 1881 in Berlin , † May 30, 1972 in Vienna ) was a German actress.
Else Wohlgemuth was one of the great actresses at the Vienna Burgtheater . She had her first success in 1910 as Anna in Richard III. to celebrate. She received the title of court actress in 1913. In 1935 Wohlgemuth became an honorary member of the house and received the Burgtheaterring.

After returning from exile , she played again in all the great female characters from 1945: Iphigenia , Sappho , Desdemona , Minna von Barnhelm , Leonore in The Fiesco Conspiracy in Genoa . The title role in Maria Stuart was her coronation. Ernst Haeusserman writes in his book about the Burgtheater: “The born queen of the classical repertoire, so to speak”. Wohlgemuth was married to Count Emmerich von Thun and Hohenstein (1876–1957) since April 30, 1918 .
