The source is not far from Bundesstraße 55 am Sattel between Brammberg (529.2 m) in the north and Schneiderkopf (556.9 m) in the south. After about 2.5 km of the river, the stream reaches Oberelspe . The Burbecke joins here on the left . From the mouth the stream is now called Elspebach . About 2 km below Oberelspe, the brook turns to the northwest and reaches Elspe . Earlier barriers between Oberelspe and Elspe were removed and the stream was renatured. At the mouth of the Bremker Bach , the brook turns again to the southwest and after another 2.7 km flows into the Lenne on the right . The mouth is at an altitude of 244  m above sea level. NHN .
