Schwartmecke is a district of Eslohe in the North Rhine-Westphalian Hochsauerlandkreis in Germany .

The village is located at an altitude of 467  m above sea level. NHN and around one kilometer southwest of Cobbenrode . The district with 13 inhabitants is located directly at the highest point of the federal road 55 between Cobbenrode and Oedingen . To the west of Schwartmecke, the Elspebach rises as Schwartmecke at an altitude of 439  m above sea level. NHN . The villages of Cobbenrode, Leckmart , Oedingen and Obermarpe border on Schwartmecke .

The place is not yet listed in statistics from the Eslohe district from around 1819, in the map from around 1840 the name Auf der Cobbenroder Höhe can be found and around 1900 the place is called Schwartmecke . It was located on the border between the communities of Oedingen and Cobbenrode and until the reorganization of the district of Olpe in 1969 belonged to Oedingen, then to Lennestadt . Schwartmecke has been part of the new community of Eslohe since January 1, 1975. Schwartmecke belongs to the parish of St. Nikolaus in Cobbenrode.

The popularity of the place is largely due to the Zucht-, Reit- und Fahrverein Schwartmecke eV The club has a riding hall (20 × 40 meters) with stables, outdoor areas and grandstands. The sporting offer includes u. a. dressage and show jumping, therapeutic horse riding and vaulting . Important annual events are the equestrian days in August and the cold blood race.
