Emilio Sumbelelo

Emílio Sumbelelo (born March 5, 1964 in Cubal ) is an Angolan clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Viana .

Life

Emílio Sumbelelo was ordained a priest on August 4, 1991 .

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on December 1, 2006 Coadjutor Bishop of Uije . He was ordained episcopal on February 25 of the following year by the Bishop of Benguela , Oscar Lino Lopes Fernandes Braga ; Co -consecrators were Archbishop Giovanni Angelo Becciu , Apostolic Nuncio in Angola and São Tomé and Príncipe , and José Francisco Moreira dos Santos OFMCap , Bishop of Uije.

With the retirement José Francisco Moreira dos Santos' OFMCap he followed this on February 2, 2008 at the office of the Bishop of Uije after.

Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Viana on February 11, 2019. The inauguration took place on April 28 of the same year.
