Emanuel Peter (born June 9, 1984 in Niederuzwil (SG)) is a former Swiss ice hockey player who was most recently under contract with the SCL Tigers in the National League .

Career

Emanuel Peter began his career as an ice hockey player at EHC Uzwil , for whom he was active in his youth until 2001. He then moved to EHC Kloten , for which he made his debut in the National League A in the 2001/02 season . He was then selected in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft in the fifth round as the 142nd player of the Calgary Flames , but never played for the team. Instead, the attacker stayed with EHC Kloten for four more years before moving to EHC Biel in the National League B in summer 2006 , with which he became NLB champions in 2007 and 2008. He also rose to the National League A with the EHCB in the 2007/08 season.

After nine years, Peter left the EHCB in summer 2015 and switched to EV Zug . He was signed by the SCL Tigers for the 2017/18 season before ending his career in April 2019. Since then he has been working as a trainer at HC Luzern .

International

For Switzerland , Peter took part in the U18 Junior World Championships in 2001 and 2002 , as well as the U20 Junior World Championships in 2003 and 2004 .
