Emanuel Reiter (born August 7, 1984 in Rosenheim ) is a German-Swiss pop singer , songwriter and music producer . The majority of his lyrics are in standard German . In the past, however, he had also written texts in English and Upper Bavarian dialects . Emanuel Reiter appears at concerts both as a solo artist and with his band.

life and work

Emanuel Reiter grew up in Rosenheim in Upper Bavaria . As a child he learned to play several instruments. As a teenager he began to write his own songs. When he was on the assembly line for his employer in the Fürstenland of St. Gallen after completing his training as a mechatronics technician , he decided to settle in Uzwil .

Together with friends, Emanuel formed a band called New Course . Until 2007 he was the singer and songwriter of this band. After that his solo career began.

In October 2008 Emanuel Reiter released his single Will you wait for me , which was played regularly during 2009 , mainly by Radio SRF 3 (then still DRS 3) and its own local broadcasters.

No time to lose was an EP with five songs, which was released in December 2010. Several Swiss radio stations regularly played songs from this EP.

In November 2011, Emanuel Reiter came second at the Switchfoot Song Contest in Zurich .

After more than 300 concerts in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, the first official album followed in March 2016: Von guten & anders Zeiten . In particular, the songs Alles Gute und much Mehr , Ich nicht wie (Die eine Liebe) , Wiedersehen and Hin und weg , ran regularly on SRF 1 , Radio 1 , Radio Freiburg or SWR 1 , among others . At the end of 2017, the album Von Gute & other Zeiten reached number 38 in the Swiss album charts for two weeks .
