Emery Kibal Nkufi Mansong'loo CP (born June 28, 1969 in Kimputu , Democratic Republic of the Congo ) is a Congolese Roman Catholic clergyman and Bishop of Kole .

Life

Emery Kibal Mansong'loo joined the religious community of Passionists on September 5, 1988 and made perpetual profession on July 31, 1998 . He was ordained a priest on August 2, 1998.

After working in pastoral care, he studied from 2002 to 2005 at the Pontifical Athenaeum Sant'Anselmo in Rome, where he obtained a licentiate in liturgical science. He then served as Provincial of the Passionists in the Congo for two terms until 2013 . During this time he taught liturgical science at various institutions. From 2011 to 2013 he was a member of the Board of Directors of the Université Catholique du Congo in Kinshasa . Then he lived in the scholasticate of his order in Kinshasa.

Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Kole on May 6, 2015 . The Archbishop of Kinshasa , Laurent Cardinal Monsengwo Pasinya , donated him the episcopal ordination on August 9 of the same year. Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Kananga , Marcel Madila Basanguka , and the Bishop of Bokungu-Ikela , Fridolin Ambongo Besungu OFMCap .

From March 6, 2018 to July 21, 2019, he was also Apostolic Administrator of the vacant Bokungu-Ikela diocese.
