Emil Andres
Emil Andres (born July 22, 1911 in Tinley Park , Illinois , † July 20, 1999 in South Holland , Illinois) was an American racing driver .
Career
Andre's career spanned the 1930s and 1940s, during which he mainly drove in midget car races, but also regularly competed in the Indianapolis 500 . His best result was a fourth place in 1946. After his career he took care of the Indy 500 Oldtimer Association , of which he was honorary president. Since 1968 he was an official of the USAC and also ran a farm.
