Emil Erlenbusch

Emil Erlenbusch (born January 31, 1911 in Backnang ; † April 28, 1983 ) was a German engineer , educator and politician ( SPD ).

Life

Emil Erlenbusch was born the son of a social democrat. After completing secondary school, he completed an apprenticeship as a mechanic at the construction machinery manufacturer Kaelble , for whom he worked as a driver and mechanic until 1938. He attended the State Engineering School in Konstanz from 1938 to 1940 , where he passed the examination as an engineer for mechanical engineering and then worked as an engineer at the gear factory in Friedrichshafen until 1945 . From 1948 until his retirement in 1976, he worked as a teacher at the industrial and commercial vocational school in Backnang, most recently as director of studies and deputy headmaster.

Erlenbusch had already joined the trade union in 1927 and had been a member of the SPD since 1930, which he helped to re-establish after the Second World War . From 1951 to 1968 he was a city ​​councilor in Backnang and from 1959 to 1983 district councilor in the district of Backnang . In the state elections in 1956 , 1960 and 1964 he was elected as a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg , to which he belonged until 1968, through a direct mandate from the constituency of Backnang .

In addition to his political activities, Erlenbusch was involved in promoting sport. In 1946 he was one of the founders of TSG Backnang and was among other things deputy chairman of the Württemberg State Sports Association .

Emil Erlenbusch was married and had two children.
