Emil Frend Öfors (born September 13, 1994 in Stockholm ) is a Swedish handball player who is under contract with the Swedish club IFK Kristianstad .
Career
Emil Frend Öfors played at IFK Tumba since he was a teenager , before moving to the Handbollsligan for Alingsås HK in 2014 , with whom he was Swedish runner-up in 2015, 2016 and 2017. With Alingsås of 1.93m took left wing in the 2014/15 season in the EHF Champions League and 2015/16 and 2016/17 at the EHF Cup part.
In July 2017 he signed a contract for the 2017/18 season with the German Bundesliga club THW Kiel , where he replaced the long-term injured Raul Santos . He made his debut at THW Kiel on August 1, 2017 in a test match against SG Flensburg-Handewitt, where he scored three goals. For the 2018/19 season he moved to HSG Wetzlar . He has been under contract with the Swedish first division club IFK Kristianstad since summer 2020 .
Öfors made his debut in January 2017 for the Swedish national team , with whom he took part in the 2017 World Cup in France .
