Emilee Anderson (born December 13, 1995 in Eau Claire , Wisconsin ) is an American ski jumper .

Career

Anderson, who starts for the Flying Eagles Ski Club , started ski jumping at the age of five, after her sister Elisabeth , who was six years older than her, was already actively participating in competitions. After finishing second at the Junior Nationals in Salbury , Connecticut in 2011, she won the FIS Junior Jumping on the normal hill of the MacKenzie Intervale Ski Jumping Complex in Lake Placid in October 2011 . Then she got a starting place for the 2012 Winter Youth Olympic Games in Innsbruck . There she jumped to 11th place after a ninth place in the individual competition with the team in the team competition.

After a year international break, Anderson started in January 2013 at the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in Liberec, Czech Republic . After a 29th place in the individual competition, she was eighth in the team competition together with Manon Maurer , Nina Lussi and Sarah Hendrickson .

On March 2, 2013, Anderson made her debut in the Ski Jumping Continental Cup on the Fichtelbergschanze in Oberwiesenthal and was 19th straight away, which earned her 12 points. With that she finished 28th overall at the end of the 2012/13 season . At the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in 2014 in Val di Fiemme , she jumped to 32nd place in the individual. In the winter of 2014/15 she was used again for a few jumping competitions in the Continental Cup and was finally 40 in the overall Continental Cup. At the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 2015 in Almaty , she jumped from the normal hill to 20th place in the individual. This was their last international start for over a year and a half. It was not until September 2016 that it started again internationally as part of the FIS Cup in Hinterzarten .
