Emina Assimowna Malagitsch ( Russian Эмина Асимовна Малагич ; born August 29, 1995 ) is a Russian short tracker .

Career

Malagitsch had her first international success at the Junior World Championships 2013 in Warsaw . There she won the bronze medal with the relay over 3000 m. In December 2013 she won silver with the relay over 3000 m at the 2013 Winter Universiade in Trento . She made her debut in the World Cup at the beginning of the 2014/15 season in Salt Lake City , finishing 16th over 500m and seventh over 1500m. In the further course of the season she reached her first podium places in the World Cup with third places with the relay over 3000 m in Montreal and Seoul . In January 2015 she won the gold medal with the relay over 3000 m at the European Championships 2015 in Dordrecht . In the following month she won the bronze medal over 500 m and the silver medal with the relay over 3000 m at the Junior World Championships in Osaka . At the beginning of the 2015/16 season she came back on the podium at the World Cup in Montreal and Toronto with third place in the relay over 3000 m. At the European Championships in 2016 in Sochi , she won the silver medal with the relay. In February 2016 she was second with the relay at the World Cup in Dordrecht. The following month she took at the World Championships bronze medal in the relay in Seoul. At the 2017 European Championships in Turin , she took eighth place in the relay. In the 2017/18 season she won the gold medal with the relay at the 2018 European Championships in Dresden and seventh place with the relay at the 2018 World Championships in Montreal. At the season highlight, the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang , she finished 23rd over 500 m and fifth in the relay.

In the 2018/19 season, Malagitsch took two wins with the relay and also took second and third place with the relay. At the 2019 European Championships in Dordrecht , she won the silver medal with the relay. In March 2019 she won the silver medal with the relay at the World Championships in Sofia and the gold medal with the relay at the Winter Universiade in Krasnoyarsk . In the following season she was three times second and once third in the relay in the World Cup. At the European Championships 2020 in Debrecen , she won the bronze medal with the relay.
