Soyuz MS-05 is a mission name for a flight of the Russian spacecraft Soyuz to the International Space Station . As part of the ISS program, the flight was designated ISS AF-51S. It was the 51st visit by a Soyuz spacecraft to the ISS and the 157th flight in the Soyuz program.

Mission description

The mission brought three crew members from ISS Expeditions 52 and 53 to the International Space Station. The mission of ESA astronaut Nespoli is called ISS Vita .

Soyuz MS-05 paired in "express mode" as planned. H. arrives at the Russian ISS module Rassvet after four orbits around the earth .

During the time of her mission, Ryazansky spent 7 hours and 34 minutes in spacewalk . Bresnik even took part in three EVAs, with a total time of 20 hours and 10 minutes.

The undocking took place on December 14, 2017 at 05:14 UTC, so the ISS Expedition 54 began on the station with Alexander Missurkin as commander. The landing took place on the same day approx. 3 ½ hours later in the Kazakh steppe 148 km southeast of Scheskasgan .
