Soyuz T-1 was launched unmanned on December 16, 1979 as the first spacecraft of the Soyuz T series .
After a three-day test phase, Soyuz T-1 docked with the Salyut 6 space station , which was also unmanned during the docking period . On March 23, 1980, the spaceship broke away from the station and returned to Earth. The landing took place on March 25, 1980.
