Mission description

The spaceship brought three crew members from ISS expeditions 32 and 33 to the International Space Station. It replaced Soyuz TMA-03M as an escape capsule .

The launch was originally planned for June 1st, but had to be postponed due to the test failure with Soyuz TMA-04M . Soyuz TMA-05M finally took off on July 15, 2012 2:40 UTC from launch pad 1 in Baikonur for the ISS. Two days later, the spaceship docked with the Russian module Rassvet one minute earlier than planned at 4:51 UTC . The landing took place in the early hours of November 19, 2012. It was the first night landing of a Soyuz spaceship since 2006.
