Mission overview

The German spaceman Thomas Reiter flew with Soyuz TM-22 on the multi-month mission " Euromir 95 ". He assumed outboard activities in part and was the first German in space. Due to a lack of funding, the follow-up missions were postponed by two months. The extended stay on board the Mir lasted 177 days. Reiter set a long-term record for a non-Russian spaceman.
