Soyuz 20 is the mission name for the unmanned flight of a Soviet Soyuz spacecraft to the Salyut 4 space station, which began on November 17, 1975 . It was the third visit by a Soyuz spacecraft to this space station and the 37th flight in the Russian Soyuz program.

Mission overview

Soyuz 20 was a modified variant ( GRAU index 11F615A9) of the Soyuz spacecraft and carried out the complete review of the spacecraft's improved on-board systems under various flight conditions. The entire flight was automatic. The spaceship carried a biological payload. Living organisms were exposed to weightlessness for three months.
