Soyuz TM-1 was launched on May 21, 1986 as the first spacecraft of the Soyuz TM series . As with the introduction of the T-Model , the first launch was unmanned and it was coupled to a space station that was unmanned at the time , in this case the Mir . On May 30th, the spaceship separated from the station and landed on earth on the same day.
