Arnoltice (German Arnsdorf ) is a municipality in Ústecký kraj in the Czech Republic . It is located eight kilometers northeast of Děčín and belongs to the Okres Děčín .

Geographical location
The village is 343 m above sea level. M. on a plateau, which is also known as Zappenland, in Bohemian Switzerland on the upper reaches of the Dürrkamnitzbach ( Suchá Kamenice ).

history
Arnsdorf was first mentioned in a document in 1352.
The place lives mainly from tourism and has log and half-timbered houses typical of the area on the village green. There is a former windmill north of the village.
In the forest west of Arnoltice, not far from Belvedere Allee, there is the atonement cross erected in 1776 for the Arnsdorf resident Matthäus Gaudernack.
A hiking trail leads through the Suché Kamenice valley along the Arnoltické stěny (Arnsdorf walls) into the Elbe valley above Hřensko .
Culture and sights
The late baroque church of the Assumption of Mary was built in 1757/58 according to plans by the master builder Johann Wenzel Kosch . After a fire on November 1, 1906, the structure was restored in 1959.
The Marian Column was created in the 18th century.
The windmill was converted into a residential building.
