Staré Křečany , until 1946 Starý Ehrenberk , (German Alt Ehrenberg ) is a municipality in the Okres Děčín in the Czech Republic .

Geographical location
Staré Křečany is located in the center of the Bohemian Netherlands , which is also known as the Schluckenauer Zipfel and represents the northernmost region of the Czech Republic. The place borders on the Saxon city of Sebnitz in the west .
Community structure
The Staré Křečany community consists of the districts Nové Křečany ( Neu Ehrenberg ), Brtníky ( Zeidler ), Panský ( Herrnwalde ), Kopec ( Hemmehübel ), Staré Křečany ( Alt Ehrenberg ) and Valdek ( Waldecke ). Basic settlement units are Brtníky, Kopec, Panský I, Panský II, Staré Křečany and Valdek.
The municipality is divided into the cadastral districts of Brtníky, Kopec, Panský and Staré Křečany.

history
The place was first mentioned in a document in 1084. From 1850 he was part of the Schluckenau judicial district . Alt Ehrenberg was once the main place of production for spare goods , a fabric made of fine wood chips used for hat production.
Until 1938 there was a department of the mountain association for northernmost Bohemia in Alt Ehrenberg .
