history

Freudenberg was first mentioned in a document in 1381 in the town register of Kamnitz . At that time Freudenberg belonged to the estate of Johann von Michalowitz from Wartenberg and was part of the Scharfenstein estate . After the division of the goods, the place belonged proportionally to the upper and lower Markersdorfer Feste. The Obere Feste with 13 inns from Freudenberg and the village of Gersdorf belonged to Johann von Luttitz from 1428. After the death of Georg von Luttitz another division took place among his heirs. In 1560 Friedrich von Luttitz founded the Neudörfel settlement, which later bore the name Freudenhain and until 1946 Freudenheim. The lower village was called Obermarkersdorf in the Middle Ages, its owners were Přibík Blekta von Útěchoviec and his descendants until the 16th century. In Obermarkersdorf there was the Freudenberg festival, also known as the Freudenhöfel. After the Thirty Years War, the village came to the Markersdorfer Guts , which were divided among three of the four Bensener lords. A special privilege in Freudenberg was the six-week tavern , which has been documented since 1658 , a six-week beer bar right in the houses in which a child was born. After disputes, the six-week taverns were abolished in 1832 . The village was parish to the church of St. Martin in Markersdorf. In 1833 Freudenberg had 738 inhabitants.

After the abolition of patrimonial Freudenheim formed from 1850 with the districts Markersdorf , Walddörfel and Freudenheim and the settlement Steinberg a political municipality in the district administration Tetschen / Děčín. In 1857, 925 people lived in the village. In 1869 the Bohemian Northern Railway opened the railway line from Tetschen to Warnsdorf. The Rabstein train station was built north of Obermarkersdorf halfway to Johnsbach . Markersdorf broke away in 1888 and formed a separate political community with Walddörfel and Freudenheim 2nd part. In 1891, the 63-house Obermarkersdorf was annexed to Freudenberg. In 1900 Freudenberg consisted of 215 houses and had 1,058 inhabitants. The residents called Freudenberg Freudendorf and Freudenheim Freudendörfel . In 1930 there were 1041, all of whom belonged to the German ethnic group. After the Munich Agreement , the municipality was added to the German Reich in 1938 and belonged to the Tetschen district until 1945 , and from 1943 Tetschen-Bodenbach . In 1939 there were 993 people in Freudenberg. In 1945 Freudenberg returned to Czechoslovakia and the German residents were expelled . In 1946, Freudenheim was renamed Veselé and Freudenheim 1.díl and Veselíčko 1.díl . The Steinberg settlement was abandoned after the Second World War. In 1950 the community was assigned to the newly established Okres Nový Bor. After its dissolution, it came back to Okres Děčín at the beginning of 1961 . Between 1980 and 1990 Veselé was incorporated into Česká Kamenice .
