Emma Heinrich , called Emmi Heinrich (* November 13, 1914 in Parchim as Emma Weger , † September 17, 1997 in Berlin ) was a German politician. From 1952 to 1960 she was district chairman of the GDR CDU in Neubrandenburg.

Life

As the daughter of a farmer, she received private lessons and attended a lyceum in Parchim and an evening high school in Berlin . From 1931 to 1933 she completed a home economics apprenticeship before training as a nurse in Berlin until 1936. After the state examination in Berlin in 1936, Heinrich worked in the people's care department in Gelsenkirchen until 1938 , as a welfare worker in Berlin from 1938 to 1942 and then until 1945 as an orphanage director in Swinoujscie .

In 1945 she joined the LDPD in Parchim, in 1949 she switched to the CDU. In 1948 she became a district welfare officer or department head in the Parchim district office. After the party purge in 1950, Heinrich sided with the pro-communist forces in the GDR CDU and was able to pursue a career as a full-time functionary. At first she belonged to the state parliament of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania from 1950 until the dissolution in 1952 , in 1950 she became chairwoman of the DFD district association Parchim. In 1954 Heinrich moved up to the CDU state executive committee.

After the abolition of the federal states, Emma Heinrich took over the chairmanship of the Neubrandenburg district association from 1952 to May 1960 . During this time she held mandates in the Neubrandenburg District Assembly from 1952 to 1958 and in the People's Chamber from 1953 to 1967 . She was initially the successor candidate of the People's Chamber and was elected to the People's Chamber on April 16, 1958 for the deceased CDU chairman Otto Nuschke . From 1963 to 1967 she was again only the successor candidate of the People's Chamber, since after 1960 she only held the less important functions of city secretary of the CDU in Magdeburg and a city district secretary of the CDU in Berlin-Lichtenberg . After all, until her retirement in 1974, she was secretary for agitation and propaganda in the CDU district association in Berlin.

After 1974 Heinrich worked as the local group chairman of the Berlin-Königstor local group, where he mainly promoted young CDU members. One of their focal points was the attempt to improve the relationship between the local group and the surrounding churches, which was partly successful.

Emma Heinrich was married and had two children, including the actor Jürgen Heinrich .
