The Wolf and the Seven Hostages is a German TV film by Torsten C. Fischer from 2016 . It is the pilot of the TV series Emma after midnight with Katja Riemann as the psychologist Emma Mayer, who works for the radio after midnight, in the lead role. The title The Wolf and the Seven Hostages is a corruption of the fairy tale The Wolf and the Seven Little Goats by the Brothers Grimm .

The psychologist Emma Mayer can be heard on the radio on a probationary period with her own talk show entitled Emma after midnight . A stranger, who introduces himself by the name of Wolf Marx, reports to the radio and says that he has taken hostages at a gas station. She has the hostage-taker describe the place where he is holding the hostages and goes there immediately after the phone call is over. Once there, Emma Mayer talks to the hostage taker Wolf Marx. He agrees on the condition that she must correctly answer every question about his life that he asks her. For every wrong answer a hostage dies.
