Jürgen Carle (born April 4, 1958 in Öhringen ) is a German cameraman .

Life

Jürgen Carle grew up in Neuenstein ( Hohenlohekreis ) and studied at the Stuttgart Media University after finishing school . He lives in Baden-Baden and has a daughter.

Since 1985 he has worked for Südwestfunk (since 1998 Südwestrundfunk ), since 1992 as a cameraman for numerous television films , documentaries and features . His works include Tatort and Bloch episodes. In 2003 he was awarded the German Camera Prize in the television film category for the crime scene 1000 deaths .

In 2012 Jürgen Carle shot the short film Dietrich & Riefenstahl as director and cameraman in Berlin for the book of the same name by Karin Wieland; In 2015 he designed a film version for the USA. In 2013, he worked as a cameraman for the television film An Open Cage (director: Johannes Grieser), which received the Screenplay Prize ( Holger Joos ) and the Media Culture Prize at the 2014 Festival of German Films in Ludwigshafen .

Jürgen Carle was responsible for the camera for the pilot film for the ARD series Emma after midnight with Katja Riemann in the lead role. In 2016 he shot the improvisation film Casting by Nicolas Wackerbarth , which premiered in the Forum series of the Berlinale 2017 . Casting was awarded the Film Art Prize at the Festival of German Films 2017.

Since 2004 Jürgen Carle has been a member of the jury in the cinema and television film categories at the German Camera Prize Cologne eV.

At the end of 2017, Jürgen Carle photographed the film Schöne heile Welt (director: Gernot Krää), which was nominated for the Golden Camera 2019 in the category of best television film.

In 2019 Jürgen Carle shot the crime scene for Lena Odenthal 's 30th anniversary with the title The Palatinate from above . In addition to Ulrike Folkerts , Ben Becker played a leading role.
