Emmanuel Moire (born June 16, 1979 in Le Mans ) is a French singer and musical performer .

Life

Moire released various singles from 2004 . His first chart success was the title être à la hauteur , the 2004 No. 9 of the French charts reached. In the following year, Je fais de toi mon essentiel even placed third. Moire gained further fame through his role as Louis XIV (Sun King) in the musical Le Roi Soleil . The piece La vie passe , recorded together with musical colleague Cathialine Andria, became a hit (2006, place 28). The single Le sourire from his album Là où je pars reached number 7 in the French charts in 2006.

With the title Ça me fait du bien , Emmanuel Moire was one of the finalists of the Sopot Festival in 2007 and took second place. In 2008 he was nominated for the NRJ Music Awards in the French-speaking Artist of the Year category. It wasn't until 2009 that the song Adulte & sexy returned to the home charts (number 9). At the beginning of 2010, the single Sans dire un mot only just missed the top 10 (11th place).

In 2012 and 2013 the singer was able to climb further hits with songs such as Sois tranquille , Au bout de mes rêves (duet with Amandine Bourgeois ), Beau malheur and Ne s'aimer que la nuit . The 2014 live single Seras-tu là was created in cooperation with French colleagues Maxime Le Forestier , Hélène Segara , Thomas Dutronc, Chimène Badi , Lââm , Foly, Grégoire and Julien Clerc .

In January 2019, Moire competed in the second semi-final of the French ESC preliminary decision Destination Eurovision 2019 with the song La Promesse , where he qualified second for the final. As fourth of a total of eight finalists, however, he missed his goal of being the winner of the competition to represent his country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 .

Moire lives openly gay in Paris. In 2012 he took part in the third season of the French dance show Danse avec les stars and won it.
