Emmett T. Anderson (born January 17, 1890 in Tacoma , Washington , †  March 20, 1969 there ) was an American politician . Between 1953 and 1957 he was Deputy Governor of the State of Washington.

Career

Emmett Anderson worked in the printing trade. He worked for the family-owned Anderson Printing Company in Tacoma, of which he was president. He was also a member of several organizations and associations in his homeland. Politically, he joined the Republican Party .

In 1952, Anderson was elected Lieutenant Governor of Washington at the side of Arthur B. Langlie . He held this office between 1953 and 1957. He was Deputy Governor and Chairman of the State Senate . After his time as Lieutenant Governor, he was no longer politically active. He died in Tacoma on March 20, 1969.
