FH Luce

Frank H. Luce (born May 26, 1859 in Chippewa Falls , Wisconsin , †  February 4, 1937 in Seattle , Washington ) was an American politician . Between 1893 and 1897 he was Deputy Governor of the State of Washington.

Career

After studying medicine at New York Medical College and his admission practiced medicine F. H. Luce 1883-1886 in Springfield ( Illinois ) in this profession. In the meantime he was also active in other cities in Illinois. In 1886 he moved to Tacoma , Washington Territory , where he also worked as a National Bank Examiner . Politically, he joined the Republican Party .

After Washington joined the Union, he sat in the State Senate there between 1889 and 1892 . In 1892 Luce was elected Lieutenant Governor of Washington alongside Elisha P. Ferry . He held this office between 1893 and 1897. He was Deputy Governor and Chairman of the State Senate. After serving as Lieutenant Governor, Luce worked in banking and real estate. Between 1916 and 1923 he was Vice President of the National Bank of Commerce in Seattle. He died in Seattle on February 4, 1937.
