Emmy Clarke , born Mary Elizabeth Clarke (born September 25, 1991 in Mineola , Long Island , New York ), is an American actress .

Life

At the age of one year, Clarke and her family moved to Houston , Texas , before moving to Great Britain ( Woking ) in 1997 - Clarke was six years old . Here she attended TASIS England , a school that her siblings Bridget and Patrick also attended. In 2002, however, the family moved back to the States and settled in New York City .

Here Clarke discovered not only her talent ( ballet dance ) but also her fondness for acting . She had in her film debut in 1999 comedy Never Been Kissed alongside Drew Barrymore given.

After another role in My House in Umbria at the side of Maggie Smith , she was offered the role with which she has also gained notoriety in German-speaking countries: Clarke played Julie Teeger in a total of 24 episodes of the crime series Monk .

In 2006 she was back on the big screen with Fell - Eine Liebesgeschichte , a biographical drama that tells the life of Diane Arbus ( Nicole Kidman ) .
