Reconciled by Death is an American film by Jim Hanon from 2005 . The film deals with the life story of the missionary Jim Elliot in eastern Ecuador , who was murdered by Huaorani Indians with four other men .
action
The film tells of an incident that happened in the 1950s. It is told from the perspective of Steve Saint, the son of Nate Saint, who was murdered, and Mincayani , a native who took part in the attack. Steve's father is on a mission in the Amazon whose goal is to bring a remote tribe of indigenous people to Protestant Christianity. Steve's father, Nate Saint, like his colleagues, is murdered by Indians with spears. The wives of the killed men and Steve remain on site despite the incident. You get to know the women of the Indian tribe, gain their trust and try to teach them the gospel . The widows' influence in the aggressive Indian tribe also alleviates their hostility.
