Endre Palócz (born March 23, 1911 in Budapest , † January 11, 1988 there ) was a Hungarian fencer .

successes

Endre Palócz won four medals in team competitions at world championships. With the foil team he secured bronze medals in 1953 in Brussels and 1954 in Luxembourg , while he was world champion with the saber team in 1951 in Stockholm and 1955 in Rome . He twice took part in the Olympic Games in the foil competitions. At the Olympic Games in London in 1948 , he was eliminated from the individual in the quarter-finals as seventh of his group, with the team he was fifth. In 1952 in Helsinki he reached the semi-finals of the individual competition this time, in which he was eliminated as fourth in his group. He moved into the final round with the Hungarian team, in which the team was defeated by France and Italy, but thanks to a victory against Egypt , Palócz, together with Tibor Berczelly , Aladár Gerevich , Lajos Maszlay , József Sákovics and Endre Tilli , ultimately came third and received the Bronze medal.
