Endre Tilli (born August 15, 1922 in Budapest , † August 14, 1958 in Shannon , Ireland ) was a Hungarian fencer .

Endre Tilli won the bronze medal with the team at world championships in 1953 in Brussels and 1954 in Luxembourg , before winning silver with the team in Rome in 1955 and finally becoming world champion in Paris in 1957 . He took part in the Olympic Games twice. 1952 in Helsinki he finished ninth in the individual competition and moved into the final round with the Hungarian team. There the team was defeated by France and Italy , but thanks to a victory against Egypt , Tilli came in third together with Tibor Berczelly , Aladár Gerevich , Lajos Maszlay , József Sákovics and Endre Palócz and received the bronze medal. At the Olympic Games in Melbourne in 1956 , he again reached the final round in the team competition, in which Hungary again fell behind against France and Italy. The battle for the bronze medal was decided by the team, which in addition to Tilli also consisted of Mihály Fülöp , József Gyuricza , József Marosi , József Sákovics and Lajos Somodi , against the United States 9: 5.
