Endstation Harembar is a German feature film from 1992 directed by Rainer Wolffhardt , the plot of which is based on Heinrich Mann's novel Ein Ernstes Leben and was broadcast on ZDF .

action

The film is set in Berlin in 1932. The owner of a bar has been murdered and the police are now investigating three suspects. On the one hand, the dancer Marie and her friend Mingo and, on the other hand, Kurt, Adele's former friend. While the fugitive couple protests their innocence, the evidence is increasing that point to the unemployed Kurt as the perpetrator, who is also suspected of theft of jewelry. However, he receives an alibi from his sister Vicky, who is married to a lawyer. During their research, the investigators find out that the background for the crime lies in the common past of the four young people.
