Susanne Lüning

Susanne Lüning (born April 19, 1966 in East Berlin ) is a German actress .

Life

Susanne Lüning graduated from the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin from 1982 to 1986 . After completing her acting training, she was a permanent member of the ensemble at the Landestheater Halle from 1986 to 1989 .

From the late 1980s, Lüning then almost exclusively took on roles in film and television. From 1985 to 1989 she was seen in supporting roles in various DEFA films.

Lüning played her first film role in 1985 under the direction of Herrmann Zschoche in his film Half of Life about the life of the poet Friedrich Hölderlin . This was followed by roles in the DEFA films Visiting Van Gogh , Jorinde and Joringel and in 1987 in Bernhard Wicki's film adaptation of the novel Sansibar or the last reason by Alfred Andersch . In 1988 she also played a small role in the film One Carrying the Other's Load ... by Lothar Warneke .

In 1993 she starred in the television film Molls Reisen together with her mother, the actress Barbara Dittus . In the award-winning film Martha's Garden by Peter Liechti , she played the title role in 1997. In 2003 Lüning shot the satirical comedy Liberated Zone for the cinema , where she played one of the villagers and neighbors. In 2005 Lüning took on an important and subtly characterized role as class teacher Ms. Steiner in the television film In Liebe ein Eins at the side of Anna Loos and Heiner Lauterbach .

After the fall of the Berlin Wall , Lüning was mainly featured in various television series, where she was often used in crime series. She mainly took on episode roles and guest roles. She played the role of the lover as convincingly as the psychopathic murderess or the woman with a past.
