Engi (era)
Engi ( Japanese 延 喜 ) is a Japanese era ( Nengō ) from August 901 to May 923 according to the Gregorian calendar . The previous era name is Shōtai , the following era is called Enchō . The era falls during the reign of the Emperor ( Tennō ) Daigo .
The first day of the Engi era corresponds to August 31, 901, the last day was May 28, 923. The Engi era lasted 23 years or 7941 days.
