The 2009/10 season was the 12th edition of the English Premier Ice Hockey League .
Mode and participants
Only English teams take part in the second highest British league. There were three rounds, each with a return game. Two points were awarded for a win - even after overtime or a shootout - one point was awarded for a loss after overtime or a shootout. For financial reasons, the Telford Tigers withdrew from the league and were replaced by the Romford Raiders.

The Slough Jets team won with a goal after a counterattack and a penalty goal from their striker and captain Blaz Emersic. The Jets decided the defensive game with a goal after a quick counterattack, as they did in the semi-final game. Their defender Gregg Rockman was elected player of the game given the clear dominance of the Guildford Flames in the first period.
Awards
Journalists voted Jaroslav Cesky (Bracknell Bees) the best player and Peter Russell (Slough Jets) the best coach.
