Enikő Mironcic (born July 21, 1986 in Reghin , Romania ; maiden name Enikő Barabás ) is a former Romanian rower . She is a four-time European champion and a two-time Olympian for Romania.

Career

Mironcic was able to collect her first international successes under her maiden name Barabás between the years 2000 and 2003, when she took part in the Junior World Championships four times and won three medals. From the 2005 season she qualified for the strongly rejuvenated Romanian women's eighth and won the silver medal with him at the World Rowing Championships . In the following year, the eighth was not powerful, and then Mironcic had to give way to the double fours. This reached a 2nd place at the European Rowing Championships 2007 and 8th place at the World Championships in the same year.

From the Olympic season 2008 Mironcic was again a member of the eighth team, and at the Beijing Games she won the bronze medal together with Constanța Burcică , Viorica Susanu , Rodica Șerban , Simona Mușat , Ioana Rotaru , Georgeta Andrunache , Doina Ignat and helmsman Elena Georgescu . From 2008 to 2011 she was also a regular in the eighth, which became European champion every year and won a silver and bronze medal at the 2009 and 2010 World Championships . In 2012 Mironcic was initially not involved in the renewed European title of the Romanian women's eight, but she was used again for the Summer Olympics in London . The team finished fourth, after which they ended their international career.

Mironcic started for the CS Mureșul club . At a height of 1.80 m, her competition weight was around 78 kg.
