Enrico Assi

Enrico Assi (born July 19, 1919 in Vimercate , Province of Monza and Brianza , Italy , † September 16, 1992 in Cremona ) was Bishop of Cremona .

Life

Enrico Assi received the sacrament of ordination for the Archbishopric of Milan on May 29, 1943 through the Archbishop of Milan , Cardinal Alfredo Ildefonso Schuster OSB . In 1962 Assi became provost in Lecco .

On December 7, 1975, Pope Paul VI appointed him . the titular bishop of Frequentium and ordered him to auxiliary bishop in Milan. The Archbishop of Milan, Giovanni Cardinal Colombo , donated him episcopal ordination on January 6, 1976 ; Co-consecrators were the auxiliary bishops of Milan, Ferdinando Maggioni and Luigi Oldani . As auxiliary bishop, Enrico Assi was the moderator of the diocesan curia .

On May 26, 1983, Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Cremona.

His grave is in the crypt of the Cathedral of Cremona .
