The Eparchy Luxor ( Latin Eparchia Thebana ) is an eparchy of the Coptic Catholic Church united with the Roman Catholic Church , based in Luxor in Egypt .
history
The Coptic Patriarchate founded it on November 26, 1895 from cessions of territory from the Alexandria eparchy . On August 10, 1947, it lost part of its territory to the Assiut eparchy .
