The eparchy Puthur ( lat. : Eparchia Puthurensis ) is in India located eparchy of the Syro-Malankara Catholic Church based in Puthur , Kollam District , Kerala .

history

The eparchy was founded on January 25, 2010 by Pope Benedict XVI. built from cessions of territory by the Battery Eparchy and subordinated to the Tiruvalla Archeparchy as a suffragan diocese. First Bishop was Geevarghese Divannasios Ottathengil .

The Puthur eparchy only includes the Syro-Malankar Catholics of the area. The Catholics of the Latin rite and the Syro-Malabar rite who also live there belong to other dioceses.
