Erhan Erdogan

Erhan Erdogan (born October 30, 1980 in Düsseldorf ) is a German actor and screenwriter .

Life

Erdogan was born in Düsseldorf and grew up in the Pempelfort district . In 1985 the family moved to Ratingen . His parents come from Antalya ( Turkey ), who immigrated to Germany in the 1970s.

Erdogan made his first acting experiences in front of his father's camera as a child, playing his role models Charlie Chaplin , Errol Flynn and Bruce Lee .

At school he appeared in plays. At the age of 13, he and friends had his biggest performance at the time in the packed town hall, where they portrayed the hip-hop band Die Fantastischen Vier .

After graduating from school, his parents asked for a commercial apprenticeship as a travel agent. This was followed by a degree in media management in Hamburg , which he graduated with a grade of 1.0. He then worked for several years as a marketing consultant for publishers and companies.

But his passion for acting never let go of him, so that he did everything in his power to get professional training as an actor. He found this opportunity after an audition at the Film Acting School Cologne. During his apprenticeship he was also awarded a scholarship for his work and commitment and received acting lessons in Los Angeles from the renowned Hollywood coach Bernard Hiller .

Erdogan made his first small appearance in the film adaptation of the book Der Medicus by director Philipp Stölzl . At the side of Sir Ben Kingsley , Stellan Skarsgård , Elyas M'Barek and Olivier Martinez , he played a lackey of the Shah and a Persian guard. During the filming he was also used as a hand double by Elyas M'Barek.

Theater engagements, commercials and TV appearances in series, such as Professor T. and Einstein by director Thomas Jahn, followed .

In 2019 he shot three productions: The Last Bull by Peter Thorwarth , Kids Run by Barbara Ott and Why? It can happen to everyone by Thorsten Kramer .

Erdogan lives with his long-time girlfriend and their daughter near Düsseldorf.
