Eric Brittingham (born May 8, 1960 in Salisbury , Maryland ) is an American musician. He is co-founder and bassist of the American hard and blues rock band Cinderella .

biography

Brittingham founded Cinderella in 1982 with guitarist and singer Tom Keifer , both of whom had previously played in the band Saints in Hell. Two demos were made in 1983 and 1984 before they caught the attention of Kiss bassist Gene Simmons . Simmons offered to help the band find a record label, but Jon Bon Jovi got ahead of him. Cinderella signed a contract with Mercury Records in 1985 . Cinderella celebrated great success in the following years with albums such as Night Songs , Long Cold Winter and Heartbreak Station . The group's last album, Still Climbing , flopped; as a result, the band broke up in 1995.

In 1997 the band planned a comeback . The band toured the US in 1998 and signed a new contract with Sony Music , but later lost it because they had no material to offer. However, a best of CD and the live album Live at the Key Club were released. Further tours followed in 2000, 2002 and 2005, in 2010 the group toured Europe and in 2011 appeared again in Germany for the first time in 10 years.

Brittingham replaced Bobby Dall, the bassist for the band Poison , when he fell ill while on tour in 2009 .
