Eric Thal

Eric Thal (born August 10, 1965 in Niskayuna , New York , USA ) is an American film actor and wrestler .

Life

Eric Thal attended the Haverford Preparatory School in Haverford , Pennsylvania until 1983 , where he worked on the student council . He then moved to Lafayette College in Easton to study mechanical engineering . At the same time, he took part in acting workshops. With the encouragement of his acting teacher, Richard Bruer, he dropped out of college after just one year to devote himself entirely to acting. He studied at The Neighborhood Playhouse Theater with Richard Pinter and also learned classical theater from the well-known acting teacher Ada Brown Mather.

After a few appearances in commercials and as a magician in New York City, Thal began to wrestle in order to be able to stay afloat financially. His coach was the well-known Neil Buckley .

Only now did the film directors become aware of him, although to this day he has been involved in productions that are hardly known above average. He made his film debut in 1992 in A Stranger Among Us alongside Melanie Griffith and directed by Sidney Lumet . Since then he has appeared in 15 other films.

His two most distinctive roles include those of Samson in Samson and Delilah from 1996 and Carl Heine Jr. in " Snow that falls on cedars " from 1999.

Thals standard voice actor is Patrick Winczewski .

Thal lives in New York City. He has been interested in music since the 1990s and plays the piano, drums and guitar.
