Eric Van Lustbader

Eric Van Lustbader (born December 24, 1946 in New York City ) is an American fantasy , science fiction and thriller writer .

Life

After studying sociology at Columbia University , he worked in the music industry and as a teacher.

In 1977 he published the first volume of his Sunset Warrior Fantasy trilogy. Other series and single novels followed, including numerous bestsellers, in particular the cycle with the protagonist Nicholas Linnear, beginning with The Ninja (1980).

Lustbader has been ghostwriting Robert Ludlum, who died in 2001, since 2004 and continues the successful Bourne series, based on Ludlum's unpublished material. His first sequel to the Bourne series, entitled The Bourne Legacy , was filmed in 2012 under the same title. Tony Gilroy directed the film and wrote the script based on the literary template.

Lustbader lives on Long Island with his wife Victoria .
