Erich Colberg

Erich Colberg (born March 21, 1901 in Gelsenkirchen , † November 27, 1966 in Harber ) was a teacher and pioneer of German school play .

Life

Erich Colberg was born on March 21, 1901 in Gelsenkirchen . He spent his childhood and youth in his parents' house in Greifenberg in Pomerania until 1916 . In order to become a teacher, he then attended the preparatory institute in Dramburg and then the teachers' college in Cammin . From 1922 to 1927 he worked initially as an employee at tax offices, at the city treasury in Greifenberg and as an accountant. From 1928 he worked as a teacher in the Pomeranian towns of Plöwen ( Randow district ), Odermünde , Pölitz , Finkenwalde and most recently in Altdamm . He was a soldier from 1942 to 1945.

Since after the Second World War Pomerania came to Poland, Colberg had to go west. In 1946 he became headmaster in Harber ( Soltau district ). He died there on November 27, 1966.

Services

Erich Colberg was a pioneer of school play, i.e. theater play in school and by pupils. He published numerous text books with titles such as King Winter. A game for funny big boys (1931) and The Prince in the Blue Coat. A happy girl's game (1950), but also texts with a reference to time such as The mysterious gas stations. Game on the four-year plan (1937) or with reference to Christianity such as The Last Refuge. A Christian Community Game (1955).

The series of text books founded by Erich Colberg The School Series appeared until the 1980s.
