Erich Ludwig Biberger

Erich Ludwig Biberger (born July 20, 1927 in Passau ; † April 5, 2002 in Regensburg ) was a German writer, journalist, editor and founder and director of the Regensburg International Literature Days. He also published under the abbreviation El Bi .

Life

Biberger was born in the Grubweg district of Passau . He first attended the municipal business school and began an apprenticeship as an electrician in his father's company after the Second World War .

During this time he published his first poems and reviews. In addition to his job, he worked as a freelancer for various newspapers and as a local editor. From 1969 to 1996 he was head of the Regensburg Writers' Group International and was the founder and head of the Regensburg International Literature Days. For many years he was a member of the cultural advisory board of the city of Regensburg and in 1969 co-founder of the Upper Palatinate Cultural Association (OKB). Biberger wrote mainly poetry, narrative and philosophizing prose, essays and aphorisms.
