David Dastmalchian

David Dastmalchian (born July 21, 1977 in Pennsylvania ) is an American actor and screenwriter .

Life

David Dastmalchian, who was born in Pennsylvania and raised in Kansas , attended The Theater School at DePaul University in Chicago . He made his feature film debut in 2008 in the Batman film The Dark Knight by Christopher Nolan . In addition to his work as a film actor, Dastmalchian also appears as an actor in television series and as a theater actor.

In March 2014 Dastmalchian was awarded the “Special Jury Prize for Courage in Storytelling” at the South by Southwest Film Festival for his acting performance and for his participation in the screenplay of the film Animals .

In 2015 he took on the role of Kurt in the comic book adaptation Ant-Man, produced by Marvel Studios . He also took on this role in the 2018 sequel Ant-Man and the Wasp .

For his friend, director Collin Schiffli , he also worked as a screenwriter and leading actor for the film productions Animals 2014 and 2018 for the crime drama All Creatures Here Below .
