Erin Kelly (writer)

Erin Kelly (born July 22, 1976 in London ) is a British journalist and writer .

life and work

Erin Kelly was born in London and raised in Essex . After completing school, she studied English literature at Warwick University . She has been working as a freelance journalist since 1998, writing for the Sunday Times and the Daily Mail as well as for magazines such as Cosmopolitan , Elle and Marie Claire .

Her first thriller The Poison Tree was released in 2009 and was filmed in 2012 by the English TV station ITV . The German translation of her novel debut was titled 2012 The venom of the summer in the Goldmann Verlag published. Since then, Erin Kelly has written other successful thrillers and detective novels , which have been translated into 25 languages.

2014 she co-wrote with screenwriter Chris Chibnall also the novel adaptation to the British crime series Broadchurch that under the German title The murderer among us in the S. Fischer Verlag appeared.

Erin Kelly lives with her family in London, continues to work as a journalist and teaches creative writing .
