history

Lochmühle Erlebach (2019)

The first written mention of Erlebach is for 1350 with the name "Erlbach". The place has always been parish to Ringethal . With regard to the manorial rule, Erlebach initially belonged to the ringethal knight seat, to which the places Ringethal, Falkenhain and Hermsdorf also belonged. The rule Ringethal lay as an exclave of the Freiberg district office between the offices of Rochlitz and Nossen . In 1606 the place Erlebach came under the rule of the Ehrenberg manor (formerly part of the Kriebstein rule ) in the Rochlitz office .

Until 1856 Erlebach belonged to the Electoral Saxon or Royal Saxon Office of Rochlitz. In 1856 Erlebach was affiliated with the Mittweida court office and in 1875 with the Rochlitz administration . As a result of the second district reform in the GDR , the municipality of Erlebach became part of the Hainichen district in the Chemnitz district (renamed the Karl-Marx-Stadt district in 1953 ), which was continued as the Saxon district of Hainichen from 1990 and in 1994 in the Mittweida district and 2008 in Central Saxony district rose.

On March 1, 1994 Erlebach was incorporated into the municipality of Kriebstein.
