The Erne Holding AG Laufenburg is a Swiss construction company based in Laufenburg . The third generation family business employs 710 people and in 2007 generated sales of 198 million Swiss francs.

history
The company was founded in 1906 by Joseph Erne as a regional construction business in the Fricktal . During the First World War , the company was especially active in the construction of factories for smelting the Fricktal ore . At the beginning of the 1920s, Erne got into track construction . In 1929, as part of the construction of the Albbruck river power plant , the company took on the task of completely dismantling the village of Alb and its eleven farmhouses and rebuilding them elsewhere.
With the construction boom of the post-war years, Erne in the Fricktal received various larger orders. In 1965 the company was split into two sister companies, Erne AG Bauunternehmung and Erne AG Holzbau . The latter began building prefabricated, modular buildings in 1972.
In 1977 Erne AG Bauunternehmung took over Husner AG Hoch- und Tiefbau . In 1983 the real estate activities were outsourced to the newly founded subsidiary ERLA Immobilien AG . In 2001 Kies + Beton Münchwilen AG was founded as a subsidiary of Erne AG Bauunternehmung. In 2004 all group companies were brought under the umbrella of Erne Holding AG.
